Asbestos Surveys: your questions
Which asbestos survey do I actually need?
If the building is staying as-is, a management survey satisfies your legal duty to manage. If you are refurbishing or demolishing any part of it, the law requires the more intrusive refurbishment & demolition survey before work begins. We will confirm the right one free of charge.
How long does an asbestos survey take?
A domestic management survey is often done in a single morning. Larger commercial premises or intrusive refurbishment surveys take longer, but we return UKAS-analysed results and the full report typically within 48 hours of the site visit.
Is my survey legally compliant?
Yes. Every survey follows HSG264, is carried out by P402-qualified surveyors and analysed by a UKAS-accredited laboratory, so the register satisfies the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and your duty to manage.
