Asbestos Testing & Air Monitoring: your questions
How quickly can I find out if a material contains asbestos?
Standard bulk sample analysis is returned within 24 hours, and same-day analysis is available for urgent cases. You receive a UKAS-accredited certificate stating the fibre type, or confirming none is present.
What is an air test for and when do I need one?
Air testing measures the concentration of asbestos fibres in the air. It is used for reassurance after disturbance, for background monitoring, and for the mandatory clearance test after licensed removal before a space can be reoccupied.
Can I take my own asbestos sample?
We do not recommend disturbing suspect material yourself, because that is exactly when fibres are released. Our surveyors take samples under controlled conditions; if you must, we provide a safe sampling kit with full instructions.
